| CASAC Check Point launched in Castleford |

CASAC have teamed up with Castleford Neighbourhood Policing Team to launch our CHECKPOINT service in Castleford and Airedale. By calling a local rate number residents can be directed to a local company which has been vetted by West Yorkshire Trading Standards. There is no cost to anyone calling the service.
Anyone needing the services of electricians, plumbers, roofers, gardeners, painters builders and much more are being advised by police to call CASAC on 08458388851. This service has been offered in Leeds for some time and has proven to be very popular.
Inspector Ian Williams of Castleford NPT said,
"This is a great initiative. Quite often vulnerable people in the community and especially the elderly are too frightened to call out services they desperately need. There are rogue traders out there who either do a poor job or charge over the odds and this will go a long way to stopping those practices. CASAC and Trading Standards have checked out all the companies on the list and all have shown themselves to be reputable and reliable." |
