| CASAC Crime Alert launched by Lord Mayor of Leeds. |
|
Lord Mayor of Leeds, Councillor Judith Elliott attended the launch of CASAC Crime Alert and took the opportunity to send out the first alert. Free to register and requiring just a name and email address, the CASAC Crime Alert is a simple to use, online system that allows members of the public to register with the CASAC website to receive email alert messages when there is suspected criminal activity underway in their chosen area and about which they should be vigilant. An additional benefit is for those who have either left the area and have elderly relatives still residing in the region or parents of students in the region who can register and keep this particularly vulnerable group advised.
